Cell Biologist
Location: Hatfield, PA 

We are seeking a dynamic new member of our research team in a Cell Biologist role.  This is a full time, on-site position working independently and as part of our team in the evaluation of non-viral genetic medicines. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s in genetics, biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or cell biology with 1-4 years of laboratory experience.

  • Work independently and a part of an interdisciplinary team to evaluate non-viral genetic medicines using our patented 3DNA scaffold technology.

  • Develop and optimize cell-based assays to assess potency and durability of genetic payloads (e.g., siRNA, sgRNA, plasmid DNA, etc.) using microscopy, qPCR and other molecular techniques.

  • Present findings in an organized and timely manner to supervisor and Discovery team.

  • Design and test protocols for transfer to the Development team.

  • Maintain data acquisition and analysis in electronic laboratory notebook.

Education and Experience 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in genetics, biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or cell biology with 1-4 years of laboratory experience.

  • Hands-on experience with mammalian tissue culture techniques (aseptic technique, care of cell lines, cell splitting, plate seeding)

  • Experience with transfection and transduction into cells

  • Experience with standard molecular techniques: DNA/RNA isolation, quantitative PCR, Western blotting, fluorescence microscopy

  • Experience with various plate-based assay screens (i.e., fluorescence, luminescence, and/or ELISA)

  • Experience in molecular cloning and designing expression vectors

  • Experience with in vitro nucleic acid delivery  

  • Experience with tissue culture and maintaining various cell lines for routine cell-based assay development

  • Ability to design, coordinate, and interpret animal studies
